Ronald L. Marek
Mr. Marek was raised on a century farm in southeast Iowa. He was president of multiple student organizations in high school and continued in leadership positions at Iowa State University where he received a BS in agricultural business. After obtaining his juris doctorate from the University of Minnesota Law School, he and his wife, Ann, moved to Oregon where they each served as VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) with Portland Legal Aid Services.
He subsequently moved to Corvallis serving in multiple positions including Legal Advisor for Students at Oregon State University, trustee appointments by US Bankruptcy Court, and private practice. He has been active in the Corvallis community with service to many community organizations including serving as President of the Corvallis Chamber of Commerce, multiple terms as President of the Benton County Historical Society (where he was instrumental in starting the Corvallis Museum), the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club, and the Samaritan Hospital Foundation.
His hobbies include numismatics, OSU athletics, travel, and focusing on strong relationships with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
His practice focuses on trust and estate planning and administration and medical planning for incapacity and related aspects including real estate.
